Tafona M. Brar is one of her kind. She was born and raised in Tacoma, WA and graduated from Washington State University (WSU) in 2006 where she obtained her baccalaureate degree in Psychology. Currently working on her Masters in Higher Education Administrati on and Supervision, event coordinating has been a field in which she’s studied and worked many years with. From a 10,000 participant event showcasing Dr. Cornell West’s Address on Diversity and Education to annual recruiting conferences for institutions of higher education, you can believe that organization, operation, and execution has been embodied in Tafona for quite some time. She is supported by her long time life partner Brandon Sr. and 3 year old son Brandon Jr. Furthermore, Tafona believes that coordinating a client’s special event requires all or nothing; and that’s exactly what’ll get when working with Events in the City, LLC!
Cheri Wells

Cheri Wells was born and raised in Seattle, WA, but has visited 2 countries and over 10 states in the U.S. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing from Washington State University, where she was able to grow and fine tune her innate business acumen. She discovered her love of Event Management in High School when she coordinated a city-wide basketball competition. Her love for it grew throughout her college years, as she planned and coordinated various Fundraiser events. It wasn’t until she planned her large wedding in March of 2008 that she decided to professionally pursue what has become her passion, Event Management .

Sweeney Mae Montinola

Sweeney Mae Montinola, born and raised in the Philippines, earned her Marketing degree from Washington State University. Her passion for marketing has motivated her to partake in marketing-driven positions for companies such as Macy’s, Fisher Communication, Inc, and Expedia, Inc. Her experiences in marketing strategies, advertising, and event promotions has led to a keen interest in Event Planning. Sweeney Mae also has an impressive talent in the world of art:painting, dance choreography/production, and literature. Her extraordinary attention to details are the key contributors to the success of events she has effectively managed and co-managed thus far such as: Bridal Shower, Bachelorette Party, Costume Party, Seminars, and local Fashion Show events. She believes that with proper preparation, anything is possible!
